Here are various badge projects and implementations that I have found helpful. One thing I'm clear about is the general imcompleteness of this list. If you are implementing a badge project and I haven't linked you here I apologize and hope you will realize that these just the breadcrumbs of my personal journey which is no reflection on the quality of your work.

Remake Learning:

These folks are wonderful and were the executors of one of the pilot Cities of Learning projects. They are generous with their time and experience and I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I have interacted with at Remake. Many of the projects within Remake use badges which is different than a badge driven project. None the less these folks understand badges well from a particular perspective and have done some excellent thinking about where badges can go that other forms of credentials are less suited to. Of particular value is their voluminous Remake Learning Playbook which they freely share -- thank you Remake! Explore and enjoy and don't blame me if it makes you want to be a kid again so you can do some of this stuff.

LRNG:
(formerly Cities of Learning)
At almost every gathering of the badge tribe LRNG is either on the agenda or part of the discussion. Here is the link to their site to help you get started.

CSU: Digital Badging in Continuing Ed: Michael Macklin

A really nicely designed digital badge program at Colorado State University in Fort Collins that is being implemented at the community ed level first and will worm it's way deeper into the system as it's successes grow. Particularly nice instance of badges designed to visually communicate their hierarchy of levels to the earner. I would note that CSU contracted and developed their own badge platform which is intended to be completely interoperable in the open badge standard and may be available to purchase some time in 2017.

Colorado Community Colleges: Brenda Perea

This system wide badging effort at the community college level is a great implementation of skills badges tied to workforce needs. I am looking forward to hearing what the data tells us about the successes of this well thought out program.

Aurora Public Schools:

This school system owns their badges and knows how effective they have been in a traditionally underresourced population near Denver. Wonderful engagement by staff from the very top to the very botton. They also hosted a Badge Summit in early summer 2016. As a side note Reschool Colorado has done some great collaborative work with the Aurora Publis School system and I consider them a tremendous resource for understand the learner narrative of many more of my students.

Notre Dame:

I suppose in some way this is a badged eportfolio project. It is nicely executed and is full of helpful examples of student work at many levels of execution.

Deakin University:

Not a project I was aware of but Don Presant is very excited about this one.

Coventry University:

The Disruptive Media Lab is a wonderful effort that is making it's own contributions to the world. Here's another view of their badge project.

Open University Badges:

Patrina Law at the Open University has been a core player in the open badges universe for a while. The Open University badges are her projects. Here is her blog which is undoubtedly worth exploring. Here's a slideshare from one of her presentations.
