Project Jupyter:
I am running into more and more professionals and companies who are using JupyterLab at various places in their work. This link takes you to the home page for this project which is full of useful information and ideas. This is where I started and it's why I'm very excited about what Jupyter notebooks might do for me as a teaching and learning tool. Happy reading....
JupyterLab Documentation:
I will make numerous references to the JupyterLab documentation so don't worry about remembering that I linked it here. For the time being just go take a look.
Commentary: Why and Why not?
It is almost always good to look at both sides of the issue. Here are a selection of reviews of Jupyter notebooks from different perspectives. I would note that it is hard to find opposition to notebooks that are not centered around large collaborative coding projects. I think these objections are real and correct but probably don't apply to our situation.

A Gallery of Interesting Notebooks: Well.... after getting lost down way too many rabbit holes here's what I'm going to offer by way of examples. This repository contains a overwhelming trove of interesting examples of how people use python and python notebooks to both teach and share their projects. If you open up this Pandora's Box of shiny objects please set a timer and call it quits in time to get some sleep.
I would add to this that I keep coming across rather remarkable examples of notebooks being used to share data and analysis that I want to link here (the LIGO data from the first detection of gravity waves to LA Counts open data tutorials) but I find that in many cases there's a bit of 'fixing up' that I need to do to be able to use the notebook in my environment. Not usually a trivial task but certainly doable.
NUMFYS: This is a site with some really awesome computational physics notebooks and animations. Almost all are beyond the scope of this class but they do illustrate what is possible and definitely whet my appetite to upgrade my skills. On top of it all its an open site and they are happy to share.
