This weeks topic is a new one for me to actually teach in this class. Opamps (operational amplifiers) are wonderfully handy tools for all of us to know about. They form the basis of many sensor and actuating circuits. I don't know nearly enough about their myriad uses but I can definitely help you clearly understand how they work.
SO.....
Read Chapter 5 and see what you make of it.
What is the basic function of an opamp electrically?
What are its ideal characteristics?
What are inverting and non-inverting amplifier circuits?
Can you solve the electric circuits for inverting and non-inverting amps?
Summing and difference amps are?
Don't bother going past section 5.8, we've got enough to worry about already!
