This course is always under development so things with be evolving as the term progresses but this is the general plan.

Homework:

In general there is not enough time in the week to give all of your homework problems the attention they need to provide useful feedback. I will randomly select a problem to turn in on the due date. Problems turned in after the class where the problem is selected will have a maximum possible score of 75%.

Labs:

Hands on experience is tremendously important in this class both in terms of using the various types of equipment needed to work in the AC world but also in terms of keeping effective lab notebooks. We will be discussing expectations in the first lab.

Quizzes:

After each section is completed there will be a quiz over that material. Expect a problem that will take you 30-45 min if you have a solid understanding of the material and may come unglued if you haven't connected the dots effectively.

Final:

The final will be a comprehensive set of problems that are all interconnected which makes the experience more real and also more challenging (painful). I hope that you will find that you are exploring the boundaries of your understanding on the test.
