Teaching Philosophy:

The truth is that things are a little different in this course than in my physics courses. In physics what is most important are conceptual and process skills like understanding fields and developing problem solving strategies. In an engineering class there is a stronger focus on skills and tools that are used to address and solve application based problems. At this level there is still a lot of conceptual development but there will be a stronger emphasis on the quality of your results.

Nevertheless this class is also a community. The values we share and the way we act have a remarkable impact on our experiences within the community. In this class I still ask that you all be able to live the principles of Burning Man as modified for this class. If you have concerns about your ability to do so please come talk to me.
